All of our applicants are registered in a very robust and thorough process. All of our Applicants are interviewed on a one to one basis with one of our experienced consultants to establish their abilities, skills and personality. This ensures that we are providing the most suitable applicant to match your Company’s needs and requirements. We always have as much individual interaction with all of our applicants as regular as possible to ensure their welfare and also to ensure their continued suitability to any role in which they are placed.

As a company standard, all applicants are stringently checked to ensure they are conversant in the English language and that they are eligible to work in the UK. We check every applicant’s identification including passports, workers registration certificates and national identity cards to ensure their continued eligibility to live and work in the UK. We use a variety of Home Office approved methods to ensure the authenticity of identity documents, and DO NOT just accept identification – everyone is thoroughly and meticulously checked. Its important to check that your current supplier also carries this out, as anyone found to be working illegally on your site can result in fines of up to £25,000 per person!

We also ensure that each applicant is fully briefed on the job which they are about to undertake. This includes ensuring they have suitable clothing and PPE. This ensures that you, the Client, are completely happy with the caliber of staff we supply, we are very aware of the Health & Safety issues that prevail within certain sectors and include this information as part of our applicant brief to ensure their understanding of what will be required of them.

We have researched many aspects that are not legally required in Employment Agencies, but feel that the more information we can provide to both the Applicant and Client with will enable both parties to feel safe and secure working with a Professional Body. We have had many conversations with the Immigration Advisory Service regarding statutory legal rights to work in our country and ensure that these are followed through a number of continual checks.

We would like to point out that we are not Gangmasters but Recruitment Consultants, we treat all of our applicants with respect and pay a fair wage and do our utmost to look after their welfare. This results in a better working relationship between us and our applicants and this better working relationship, we like to think, filters through to when they are working for you on your premises. All temporary staff are employed by The Workshop, we hold the P45’s and operate a PAYE system and we are registered members of the Recruitment and Employment Federation.

We also hold a Public Service Vehicle Operators License to ensure our fleet of buses provide safe and legal transportation of our staff to and from your premises.
